Social Science Excellence Scholarship

About this scholarship

We are delighted to introduce an inspiring co-branded scholarship in partnership with Girls on Campus, dedicated to empowering ambitious international students pursuing degrees in Social Science.

This extraordinary opportunity provides $1,500 in funding to support tuition and academic expenses at accredited universities around the globe.

We wholeheartedly invite students from all backgrounds and genders to seize this chance, whether they are embarking on their undergraduate, graduate, or post-graduate studies in Spring or Fall 2027 or later.

This scholarship not only offers vital financial support, but also unlocks the door to an enriching academic experience.

Please take note that the application period for this scholarship will close on April 30, 2026, at 12:00 CET.

Eligibility

To apply for our scholarship:

• You must be applying to a Social Science program, such as sociology, psychology, anthropology, political science, economics, or social work
• You must be applying to a program listed in the educations.com Social Science directory: 11138 Social Science Programs degrees (2025)
• You may register for the Global Study Fair to complete their application. (Attendance at the fair is not required, but registration is mandatory for consideration.)
• You must hold relevant high school or university degree and visa eligibility (if applicable)
• Open to both U.S. and international students, provided they are applying to university abroad

You are:

• A globally-minded student with a genuine interest in other cultures
• Planning to enroll in, or already enrolled in, an undergraduate, graduate, or post-graduate program in Social Science program
• A high academic achiever with consistently strong grades and accomplishments in your chosen area of study
• Actively involved in extracurricular activities, community service, or leadership roles

Key dates for the Social Science Excellence 2025 Scholarship

• Applications open: 03 October 2025, 15:00 CEST
• Applications close: 30 April 2026, 12:00 CET
• Winner announced: June 2026
• Scholarship paid out: Fall 2027 semester

Application requirements

To be considered, submit your completed application by April 30th, 2026, at 12:00 CEST.

The application consists of:

• Filling out a form
• Answering the questions in the application form

Please note: Applications need to be submitted in English. Applications in other languages won’t be considered.

If you’re selected as a finalist, you’ll be asked to provide:

• Proof of acceptance into a university in the form of a copy of your acceptance letter
• Proof that you’ve completed the relevant qualifications for your selected program in the form of a copy of your transcripts or other applicable documents
• A copy of your passport to prove your identity

It is very important that all copies of documents are color scans. Please have these documents on hand should you be selected as a finalist. You will have 7 days from the time we tell you that you’re a finalist to send us this documentation.

Therefore, you’ll also need to:

• Tell us that you want to accept our gift within 3 days of being told that you unfortunately have not won our scholarship – but are still listed as one of our finalists.
• Make a post and tag us on Instagram, LinkedIn, and/or Facebook to tell others about yourself as the finalist.

If selected as our winner, you’ll need to:

• Tell us that you want to accept our scholarship within 3 days of being told that you have won.
• Make a post and tag Girls on Campus and educations.com on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and/or TikTok to tell others about yourself as the winner!
